Through our onboarding and matchmaking process — which takes place over voice calls, WhatsApp, and Instagram — you may also share personal details including your interests, values, relationship goals, and lifestyle. We process recordings and transcripts of calls you have with us, as well as the messages you send us through WhatsApp and Instagram.
Information we generate. We create a matchmaking profile for you based on the information you provide. This profile includes inferences about your preferences and compatibility signals derived from your calls and messages.
Information collected automatically. When you interact with us via WhatsApp or Instagram, we receive basic metadata associated with those messages, including timestamps and your public profiles as available.
Information from third parties. If you are referred to Wingy by another user, we may receive your name and contact details from them. We may also review publicly available social media profiles.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal data we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our matchmaking service. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Create and maintain your matchmaking profile
- Identify compatible matches and facilitate introductions
- Communicate with you about matches, your account, and our service

How We Disclose Your Information
We disclose your information only as follows:
To facilitate introductions. If both you and a potential match express interest following a Wingy introduction, we will share a mutual introduction.
To comply with legal obligations. We may disclose your information where required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wingy, our users, or others.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal and operational purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below).
Third-Party Platforms
Interactions with Wingy operate over WhatsApp and Instagram, which are governed by Meta’s own privacy policies. Wingy accesses only the messages and interactions you direct to us.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, request deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent you have previously provided to us.
