App terms of use.

These terms govern the Wingy app for iPhone and Android. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Wingy also runs a separate matchmaking service over WhatsApp and Instagram, governed by our main terms. Those describe introductions between users and paid access, neither of which exists in the app. Where the two differ about the app, these terms control.

The app is free. It contains no purchase, subscription or payment of any kind, and it has no other users: no profiles, no matching, no introductions, and no messaging between people.

You must be 18 or over to use the app, and you confirm this before the app will do anything. The app is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly allow it.

You agree to give accurate information, and to use the app only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.

Zero tolerance. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You will not use Wingy to generate, solicit or share content that is sexual content involving minors, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or that depicts or encourages self-harm or violence — and you will not attempt to make Wingy produce it.

Reporting. Every Wingy reply can be reported from inside the app: press and hold the reply and choose Report. You will be given a reference number.

What we do about it. We review every report and act on objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and ejecting the user who caused it. Accounts that produce objectionable content or abusive behaviour are terminated. Where content is illegal or presents a risk to anyone’s safety we may terminate without notice.

Content you import. A WhatsApp export is a record of a conversation with another person who has not agreed to these terms. You confirm you have the right to import what you import, that it contains no child, and you accept that the choice is yours. Group chats are refused by the app.

Wingy is an artificial intelligence, not a person. She is not a therapist, counsellor, doctor, lawyer or emergency service, and nothing she says is professional advice of any kind. The app states this on screen.

Replies are generated by a language model and may be wrong, out of date, or unsuitable for your situation. Do not rely on them for any decision that matters without your own judgement.

Wingy is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline. Where the app detects a disclosure of this kind it will show helpline numbers you can dial, but it cannot summon help for you and it does not monitor for emergencies.

Wingy’s replies are produced by the third-party AI providers named in our app privacy notice. The app asks for your explicit permission before anything is sent to them.

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to process it for the purposes set out in the app privacy notice — to answer you, to remember what you have shared, to transcribe a voice note, and to act on a report. We do not use your conversations to train any AI model, and we do not sell or rent your data.

You are responsible for what you send, including anything you import. Do not send anything you do not have the right to send.

The app is provided as it is. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and it may be unavailable at times. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

You can stop at any time, and you can delete your account and its data from inside the app: the menu, then Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms.

To the extent permitted by law, Wingy is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, or for any decision you take on the basis of something Wingy said. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
